Open laboratory
As one of the post conference activities of the 29th ICHSIP to be held 20-24 September 2010, at the Iwate Medical University, we are pleased to announce that an open laboratory of high-speed imaging will be held from 11:00 to 14:00 on 25 September at the Interdisciplinary Shock Wave Laboratory, Institute of Fluid Science, Tohoku University, Japan. This open laboratory will be beneficial to the participants of ICHSIP.

We plan to perform hypervelocity impact experiments in a two-stage light gas gun visualized by a high-speed video camera and holographic interferometric visualization of weak shock waves released from a trombone. In order to encourage free discussion, we will serve lunch during these experiments.
